In 2011 the Serra de Tramuntana was declared World Heritage of Mankind by UNESCO. It is an impressive and wonderful mountain massif of about 90 km in length and forms the “spine” of Mallorca.
In the Serra, which can be seen from the whole island, are some of the most emblematic places on the island, such as, The Puig Major (1445m), Sa Calobra, Sóller, Cap Formentor or the Monastery of Lluc.
The Serra de Tramuntana is certainly the only MUST destination as a visitor to Mallorca. We always recommend a trip to the mountains from the Hotel Monnaber Nou, since we are now also directly at the feet of the same.
